Eligibility & Criteria

Open to Ph.D. candidates and recent doctoral graduates (within three years of degree conferral), this competition seeks to elevate young minds in academia. Applicants must be 32 years of age or younger as of January 1st of the conference year, ensuring a focus on early-career excellence.

The winner receives a cash prize of ₹25,000 and a specially commissioned Certificate of Excellence, presented in a formal ceremony at the ICNDA Biennial International Conference. Beyond monetary recognition, the award offers global visibility among peers and leaders in the scientific community.

Guidelines for the ICNDA 2026 Young Scientist Award

1. Article requirement

Prospective participants must complete their conference registration within the designated registration period to be eligible for consideration. Submissions must consist of original, full-length research article, which will undergo a rigorous peer-review process to determine their suitability for this distinguished award.
Please note that works previously presented or published elsewhere will not be considered. A separate award nomination form is required in addition to the standard conference registration materials (LINK). While only the most exceptional submissions will be honoured with the opportunity for the ICNDA Young Scientist Award, but all other articles will be granted the opportunity to be presented at the conference, either as oral presentations or poster presentation.

2. Advisor-Endorsed Submissions

All abstract submissions must receive formal approval from the candidate’s thesis advisor, ensuring the work meets the highest academic standards before consideration.

3. Selection Process

ICNDA’s distinguished Programme Committee will conduct a rigorous initial review, selecting only few exceptional applicants to deliver oral presentations during a specially curated session at the Plasma Conference.

4. Eligibility Requirement

Candidates must not exceed 32 years of age, maintaining the award’s focus on recognizing prodigious early-career talent.

5. Presentation Protocol

Each selected participant will be allocated a 15-minute presentation slot, followed by a discussion and Q&A period. If scheduling adjustments become necessary, candidates will be notified in advance and expected to adhere strictly to their revised time allocation.

6. Excellence in Delivery

Beyond the scientific merit of the research, the esteemed judging panel will evaluate:

  • Mastery of presentation (both visual and vocal eloquence)
  • Precision in time management

Canvas Size: Your poster shall be crafted to a precise dimension of 36 inches in width by 48 inches in height.

Orientation: A classic portrait orientation is required for a uniform gallery presentation.

2. Poster Content

The Title: The title of your research should command attention at the apex of your poster. We recommend a bold, generous font size of no less than 72 points to ensure legibility and prominence.

Authors & Affiliations: List all contributing authors and their esteemed affiliations with clarity. The name of the presenting author should be distinctly highlighted.

Color Palette: Employ a refined and consistent color scheme that reflects a professional sensibility. Paramount to your design is exceptional contrast between text and background, guaranteeing effortless readability from a respectful distance.

Visual Elements: All photographs and graphics must be of the highest caliber, with a minimum resolution of 600 DPI to ensure crisp, sharp reproduction. Each presenter is entrusted with the printing of their own poster. To do your work justice, we insist it be rendered on premium paper. A matte or satin finish is strongly advised to provide a rich, color-true surface while minimizing ambient glare.

5. The Presentation

Your poster should be installed and on display by 9:00 AM on the day of your presentation. The dedicated poster gallery will be prominently situated within the conference venue. Please be prepared to grace your poster during the officially designated session times to engage with colleagues and dignitaries.

6. Enhancing the Experience

Digital Integration (Optional): For a layered engagement, consider incorporating a QR Code. This elegant touch can link guests to your research portfolio, or professional contact information.

Complimentary Handouts: You may wish to provide a curated summary handout for attendees. These should be placed in proximity to your poster for guests to acquire.

7. A Note on Evaluation

Your work will be reviewed by a panel according to the following criteria:

The clarity, coherence, and intellectual structure of the content.

The visual artistry, aesthetic appeal, and professional execution of the design.

The depth, significance, and originality of the research.

The presenter’s eloquence and expertise in articulating the narrative of their work.
